Tobacco Road Rammed Earth Home
Completed in 2016, this open concept bungalow uses a mixture of rammed earth and timber frame construction.
It is settled on a west facing slope and needed to be designed to comply with conservation authority setbacks.
The home is also equipped with radiant in floor heating and a water to water heat pump. A lifted roof line allows more southern light to enter and warm the house. The home uses 66% less energy than typical homes.
