Tooke Lake Cottage

This Muskoka cottage has seen a lot throughout its days.

Originally it had a not so pleasing exterior finish including vinyl siding and was experiencing some moisture problems, after a tornado swept through the area and a foot of rain washed away the landscape, granite retaining walls were put in place and the landscape was rebuilt.

Following this the house was then re-clad, had new triple pane windows installed as well as drainage and better insulation.

The exterior is finished with burnt wood paneling, a Japanese technique known as 'shou sugi ban' as well as wood siding and metal roofing.
